The physical and chemical properties of all components of the cable must be tested to guarantee that performance remains unaltered for its entire lifecycle.
The following instruments are used:
- Lloyd LRX testing machine for UTS up to 2500 N
- Mitutoyo PJ 300 profile projector
- UL/CEI compliant aging ovens
- Mettler PM300 scales, accuracy 1/100
- Mettler PM100 hygrometric scales, accuracy 1/1000
- Kern ALJ 160-4M analytic scales, accuracy 1/1000
- Testing machine for UTS up to 300,000N
- TGA

Hot particle resistance tests
The device (CEI 20-19/2 and HD 22.2 compliant) approaches an incandescent filament to the cable by applying an appropriate force for a predetermined period of time and then evaluates the integrity of the cable by carrying out a voltage test.
